Ad Hoc co-founders named finalists for Entrepreneur of the Year award

Recently, Ad Hoc’s co-founders, CEO Greg Gershman and CTO Paul Smith, were named among the Mid-Atlantic finalists for EY’s 37th annual Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

According to the EY website, “Entrepreneur Of The Year is one of the preeminent competitive business awards for transformative entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are building a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous world for all.” As a company whose mission is to empower organizations to deliver digital services that promote the general welfare, the Ad Hoc team is incredibly proud that our leadership has been recognized for their commitment to doing just that.

"We are honored and take immense pride in being named finalists for this award. Ad Hoc remains steadfast in our commitment to making meaningful contributions to the public services that people across our country depend on. This award and our growth are results of the professionalism and skill of our team and the importance and need for continued innovation in the government technology space," Greg said.

Greg and Paul started Ad Hoc in 2014 as a result of their work with a group of technologists who were tasked with solving the issues that arose when HealthCare.gov went live. They saw first-hand the impact that the website, once fixed, had on millions of people, and they were determined to continue delivering that kind of service to other government agencies.

"Ad Hoc is focused on developing, delivering, and operating fast, stable, and well-designed digital services on behalf of mission-driven organizations like the U.S. federal government. Our work enables organizations to fulfill their missions and ensure they meet the public’s rising expectations for service delivery. We do this by bringing great technologists together from across the country to collaborate closely with our customers to deliver software that works. We want to raise the bar of expectations for the kind of user experiences these services can offer," Paul said.

Ad Hoc’s dedication to supporting our customers has underpinned our team culture and guides all the work we do. Using methodologies like human-centered design, product thinking, and data-driven decisions means that the products and services we help design and build are accessible, easy to navigate, and built the right way from the beginning for the people who need them.

Regional award winners will be announced on Thursday, June 22 during a special celebration, and we wish Greg and Paul the best of luck!
