Veterans Experience Center

Welcome to the Veterans Experience Center – a place where Veterans can make their voices heard and help improve how Ad Hoc and the Department of Veterans Affairs serve Veterans, their families, and caregivers.

At Ad Hoc, we take great pride in the work we do to help Veterans access their healthcare and benefits information and other resources in an easier, more efficient way. We helped the Department of Veterans Affairs reimagine VA.gov into a Veteran-centered experience and built the VA’s Health and Benefits mobile app.

We make it a priority to talk to actual people as we design and build services. That input impacts everything from the words we use to the questions we ask to how we make sure services are accessible to people with disabilities.

But we wouldn’t be able to do any of it without working closely with real Veterans who have different abilities and backgrounds. Through this collaboration, we build products with you because we want to understand your needs and design tools that meet them.

What does the work require?

By joining the Veterans Experience Center, you’ll help guide our work in areas that are most important to you and your fellow Veterans. We’ll ask you to:

  • Complete surveys
  • Participate in user research sessions
  • Test new features and apps designed for Veterans

Earn a minimum of $100 per survey or session.

Work from wherever you live and from your own computer or device. Ad Hoc is a fully remote company with employees in 45 states and DC.

Keith Adkins Senior DevOps Engineer and Army Veteran

“As an OIF Veteran, I know from firsthand experience how challenging it can be to navigate VA services. So when I learned about Ad Hoc, and the work they were doing to make VA.gov better, I knew they had a mission I could get behind.”
